FAQ

  • What is breathwork?

Breathwork refers to a range of breathing techniques that help improve physical, emotional and mental wellbeing. Through guided sessions you can release stress, increase energy and gain greater self-awareness.

  • What can I expect during a breathwork session?

During a session, you’ll be guided through specific breathing exercises. You’ll start with grounding into your body, followed by a series of activating and ground breathing techniques. Sessions may include moments of reflection, integration, and relaxation to ensue; you leave feeling more balanced and centred.

  • How long does a typical breathwork session last?

Sessions typically last 90 minutes, depending on your personal and individual needs. This includes the breathwork, integration, and time to discuss anything that may have arisen for you during the session.

  • Do I need breathwork experience to participate?

No prior experience is necessary. Breathwork is accessible for everyone, and sessions are tailored to meet your comfort level and experience.

  • Can anyone do breathwork?

Most people can benefit from breathwork, but if you have certain respiratory issues, heart conditions or are pregnant it’s important to consult a healthcare provider before participation. You sign a waiver upon booking in with Ness. Failure to disclose any of the above and still choosing to participate without medical consultation is done at your own risk.

  • What are the benefits of breathwork?

Breathwork can reduce stress, increase mental clarity, improve emotional resilience, enhance self-awareness and promote over all wellbeing. It can also help release stored emotions and trauma.

  • How often should I participate in breathwork?

This varies from person to person. Some people benefit from weekly sessions, others practice daily or a few times a week. Ness can help you create a routine that works best for you. It’s also ideal after a breakthrough session to allow yourself some time for reflection and integration before diving into the next session.

  • What should I do after a breathwork session?

After a session, its recommended you take some time for yourself to rest and integrate the experience. For example, try to avoid booking a session in before work or having to run errands. Drink plenty of water and nourish your body. Avoid any strenuous activity; a gentle walk can be good to help you integrate. If possible, also try journaling your thoughts and feelings. Ness will reach out 24 hours later to check in, answer any questions, and help you further integrate the session.

  • Can I do breathwork on my own?

While it is possible to do some breathing techniques on your own, guided sessions provide deeper experiences. There is a point of resistance one will feel while breathing. Ness will help you move past this point of resistance, guiding you deeper into your session and subconscious. A guided session with Ness will help you navigate the process safely and effectively. Ensuring the best experience possible on the day.
